Hervé Panetto

My name is Hervé Panetto. I am a Professor at University of Lorraine. I am Director of international relations at TELECOM Nancy, School of Engineering in Computing and Digital Sciences, associate school of Institut Mines-Telecom. I am teaching Enterprise Information Systems. I conduct research at CRAN (Research Centre for Automatic Control), Joint Research Unit (UMR 7039) associated with University of Lorraine and CNRS. I am member of the Academia Europaea (The Academy of Europe). I am a Fellow of the AAIA (the Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association) and Fellow of the AIIA (Artificial Intelligence Industry Alliance).

My research field is in information systems modelling and semantics formalisation for enterprise systems and process interoperability, with applications in manufacturing systems, Industry 4.0, IoT and CPS. I am applying Hybrid Artificial Intelligence techniques to the interoperability of Cyber-Physical Systems and Human-centric systems, including cognitive systems.

I am expert for standardisation bodies such as the CEN TC310 and the ISO TC184/SC4 and SC5.

I am the Editor-in-Chief of the journal IFAC Annual Reviews in Control (ARC), Elsevier.

I am a member of the IFIP WG 5.1 on Global Product development for the whole life-cycle, WG 5.12 on Architectures for Enterprise Integration, WG 5.8 on Enterprise Interoperability and a member of the Society on Collaborative Networks (SOCOLNET).

I am a former Chair of the IFAC Technical Committee 5.3 on Integration and Interoperability of Enterprise Systems and former Chair of the IFAC Coordinating Committee 5 on Cyber-Physical Manufacturing Enterprises. I am the former Chairman of the IFAC France French National Member Organization (NMO). I am also currenly member of the IFAC TC 5.3 on Integration and Interoperability of Enterprise Systems and Vice-Chair for publications of the IFAC TC 9.3 on Control for Smart Cities. I am a member of the ACM and the representative of CRAN at the Confederation of Laboratories for Artificial Intelligence Research in Europe (CLAIRE) and the representative of the CNRS at the BDVA association.
